Khal Mohammadi rugs are characterized by their usually coppery-colored fields, by their highly lustrous finish, their usually clean, neat, and tidy appearance, and by the decorative, flat-woven finish on either end. Typically, they are heavier-bodied and finer-knotted than other rugs. Weaving a rug may take years and may involve an entire family. To make their jobs more fun, the weavers often change the designs of the rugs. 'It is like painting,' says Fatima, a 17-year old who goes to school in the mornings and helps her mom in the afternoons.  What is Worldstock?
